Do you use tax codes and tax groups or only one of these for sales tax
I am wondering if you need to use the tax codes to calculate sales tax correctly. We report sales tax in California and Vermont. Vermont is very simple, but CA is complicated. There are so many tax codes, and I have no idea what most of them mean. I have to manually figure out how much goes to each jurisdiction anyway, I can't use the reports to calculate this. Would it be any easier to change to just using tax groups only? Will this make things more complicated? Will it mess up my reports from last year if I change
