Please note that on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM Pacific time, our Case Management System will undergo a scheduled maintenance for approximately 4 hours. During this time, case creation via SuiteAnswers will be unavailable and inbound calls will be routed to Customer Service.
How can I populate custom field with Case Creator?
We want to create KPIs for various departments that lists how many cases were created by employees. Unfortunately there is not a created by field for this and the only way I can get the info today is from system notes which can be very slow. If the user wants to change the time period to 1 year, forget about it. Its going to timeout every time.
The best solution I can think of in theory is to create a custom field which a script would populate with the user name as a case is created then report on that field.
