Single Page Apps

Lately, I've been feeling extremely limited by Suitelets front end design capabilities.  I want to be able to create simple Single Page Applications that are driven from my NetSuite data.

Currently, I'm building a simple survey form.  I want to have complete frontend control over it so no nlobjForm.  I want to follow an MVC type of design pattern with:

M = Custom NetSuite Record
V = An HTML page w/ jQuery animations etc.
C = Suitelets/RESTlets/.SS SSP files (this is where I'm not sure)??

What's the best way to approach this?
