Best script type to increase product cost

edited Dec 2, 2019 5:47PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 2 comments

We are switching from using a distributor to purchase our product from to purchasing direct from the manufacturer.  This obviously will include a reduction in cost extended to us, however we want to price the product to our customers the same as we are now.  Effectively not reducing our revenue's because one of our product lines is reducing in cost.

Right now, we create a quote (estimate) to our customers based off of a quote we receive from our distributor and some added margin.  I have automated imports set up to create those quotes for us without human intervention.  My question is this:  What would be the best type of SuiteScript to create to take the cost given to us from the manufacturer quote and inflate that by a certain percentage to reflect on our internal NetSuite quote?

Howdy, Stranger!
