Dynamic Bid Maximizer / Apex Pacific

Does anyone here use Dynamic Software's "Bid Maximizer" to manage their PPC bidding?  If so, is it still worth it?  The program was made back when you could still see your competitors bids and a lot has changed with the Google bid interface in the last 4 years.  Now it looks like "Bid Maximizer" was being purchased and resold and the purchaser (Dynamic Software) had a falling out with the maker (Apex Pacific) and so Dynamic Software is ditching Bid Maximizer and has made a new SaaS product at http://www.ppcsaas.com/ and it does the same thing as "Bid Maximizer", but it is web based.
