ns scripts using ajax?

has anyone figured out a means of using netsuite WSDK scripts with AJAX?

we try to use the WSDK scripts at a minimum as they are terribly slow and hang up page loading, my understanding of this AJAX technology is that the javascript loads in the background and does not hold up the page when called or reload the entire page when updated..like the netsuite dashboards in v11
