Breaking into the design of the shopping cart?

Has anyone been able to find a way to present a custom designed shopping cart?

I can over-write the class used for the header of the cart <div class='listheadernosort'>, but I was looking for a little more flexibility.

As a new member of this user group I look forward to contributing as well.
