A custom contact page with multiple child items - Is this feasible?

edited Dec 18, 2019 1:49AM in Web Site / E-Commerce

Most of the items we sell are unique and normally additional interaction with the customer is required before a sale takes place. The standard contact form is currently a little basic for our requirements.

What we would really like to do is have a contact form that can have a number of related child items that would contain references to the items the contact wanted to discuss further. On submitting the form an opportunity record should be created and a number of related records in a custom table should also be created.

Before I embark on this can anyone suggest whether it is even feasible and if yes perhaps give some pointers as to the areas I should investigate e.g. Javascript/server suitescript/client suitescript.

Howdy, Stranger!
