javascript to write to tabbed content...
We have a large number of SKUs that are technical in nature. Therefore we want to use tabbed content to display "detailed description", "compatibility", "technology explanation", and "instructions for use".
We have the tabbed content working and taking from the detailed description and 3 customitem fields in each of our 1,700 items.
We figure that out of 1,700 items, we have only 10 different compatibility texts, 32 different technology explanations, and 16 different instructions for use. But we have 1700 different detailed descriptions. So we intend to use the detailed description field for displaying on the tab.
My thought is to write 58 documents ( the 10+32+16 different docs) as information items which are given unique IDs by Netsuite, and use javascript to locate the document and write it to the tab content. The obvious is to use three custitem fields to contain the ID of the document I want for that particular item. I ran into problems which are documented already in the forum.
