First of all, had this company used the matrix system, this would have been moot. But that being said, that was out of my hands and now I am trying to clean up a mess.
We use our related items as variations of the same product. For instance some may be in different wattages, but otherwise are the same light fixture.
However all of our fixtures have accessories, drivers, power supplies, dimmers etc.
I have set up custom fields for accessories. Where I declare the Item Name and then I source the itemID in a hidden custom field.
What I want to do is, using that item id, get attributes of the product its referencing to display on a drilldown page of another record.
