SuiteCommerce Advanced : URL structure

We are implementing SCA (SuiteCommerce Advanced) : With all Facets applied, the proposed URL structure is far too long.

QUESTION

Netsuite advise the structure as: www.domain.com/nameFacet1/valueFacet1/nameFacet2/valueFacet2/etc
eg
www.domain.com/product/Shoes/type/Sandals/brand/Clarks

Does something simpler like this work?
www.domain.com/valueFacet1/valueFacet2/etc
eg
www.domain.com/Shoes/Sandals/Clarks

I cannot see why it should not work but we are not deep enough in the implementation to test it properly.

Please let me know if you explored options other than standard out-of-the-box implementation on this.
