Drop Down Navigation Bar

I am working on making changes to an existing Netsuite webstore with the advanced settings turned on. We want to turn off the side panel navigation tabs and have a drop down navigation menu instead. So far we have succeeded in turning off the side panel navigation but still need to create a drop down menu. I have created a drop down menu in HTML/CSS but I am completely new to Netsuite. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
