Shopping Cart Issues - Sitebuilder - Matrix Items

Is anyone else having issues with Sitebuilder and matrix items not being able to be loaded into the shopping cart? For some of our products when you add a matrix item in the shopping cart NS is throwing a message "Unavailable Options", We do not sell item X (item name) with that particular combination of options. Please select a different combination of options.
The issue is we have these items on our website for years and no issues putting them in the cart. I've opened a case with NS and a defect has been issued.
What is really odd is that you can choose a different finish within the matrix and the item will load into the shopping cart without issue.
