Fulfillment Status by Line Item

Is there anyway to add the fulfillment status of individual line items to a sales order?  When I look at large orders which are pending fulfillment I'd like to be able to see which lines have been fulfilled and which have not at 1 glance, without having to dig into each related fulfillment record. Seems like something so simple, I'm assume I'm just missing something.
