Stumped - Referencing Custom Fields from a Parent Record
Ok, I'm stumped and a third cup of coffee isn't helping. :h_a_w:
Obviously you can have a contact attached to multiple customer records, but a contact can have only one Parent.
Seems to me that many fields aren't available from the Parent relationship, including custom fields.
{Parent.Status} returns stage
{Customer.Status} returns the SFA status of all the contacts a contact is attached to.
{Parent.{custentity_whatever} returns nothing of course.
Question is: How can I search for contacts where the Parent record fills custom field criteria, or status criteria.
How can I write a formula that gets custom field data from the parent, without having to deal with the duplication created by going via the customer relationship.
