nlapiSetFieldValue error when setting a value fo a custom field with type Integer

Since upgrading to 2012.1 I am receiving an error when using nlapiSetFieldValue to set a value in a custom field of type Integer. This is happening in all my custom forms where I have a client script attached to them. Example of error messages I am getting are:

TypeError The value of the property
'getNLNumericOrCurrencyDisplayField' is null or undefined,
not a Function object

or

TypeError The value of the property 'isNumericField' is null or undefined,
not a Function object

I have tried different values but still comes up with the same error.

Is anyone else having this issue?
