Expose Customer Category on Sales Order
Since often online customers/leads don't fill in their customer category, and then my sales reps often jump directly into a sales order without ever viewing the actual customer record, I thought it would be easier to expose the Customer Category on the Sales Order field. Since its available in search, without reaching back to the Customer Record, I thought it would be available on the SO forms, but I was wrong.
I know I could create a custom field, which would source from the Customer Record, but what I would really like, is that if the "Customer Category" is changed on the SO, that it also gets updated on the customer record, and so far I can't see how to do this. I believe a workflow cannot jump from one record type to the other, but I may be wrong there.
