Exchange Rate for Credit Card Charges
I am attempting to enter credit card charges but keep getting the error:
"Transaction and foreign currency account using different currencies. Unexpected error ocurred."
We are a Canadian company using base currency of US dollars.
The purchase is from a US company.
The credit card purchase receipt is a US dollar receipt of $17.00 US. Canadian exchange is 1.128823529 resulting in the Visa statement charge of $19.19 Cdn.
The Vendor is a US dollar account.
I entered the charge as $17.00 US and attempted to change the exchange rate to match the Visa charged rate. Netsuite will not allow me to change the exchange rate on the transaction. Therefore, the base currency (US) is appearing as rate 1.0 (US dollar to US dollar).
