Paying Commission Based on a Class of Customer

edited Jan 24, 2011 3:16PM in Commissions 8 comments

We have the Commission Module. Does anybody know how to pay commission to our sales people based on sales to a type of customer.

Let's see if I can adequately and clearly explain this. Slim chance but I'll give it a try. We have salespeople (SP) who will sell to a specific customer type where each type of customer has different commissions payout.
> SP1 sells to Wholesalers supplying to Consumer Retailers - Earns 6%
> SP2 sells to Distributors for Natural Food Chains - Earns 8%
> SP3 sells to Commercial Landscape Contractors - Earns 10%

This commission model would work if just one SP sold $100K of product to each of the three types of customers thus earning $6000 (6%), $8000 (8%), and $10,000 (10%)
Howdy, Stranger!
