Serialized Item Location Search
I write after I've spent 4+ hours testing searches, searching this UG, using NS help, pulling out hair, etc.
Client needs to find WHERE a serialized inventory item is CURRENTLY LOCATED within multiple company locations. The Serialized Inventory items are transferred and adjusted between locations on a regular basis. Client wants to enter serial number in Search Form Portlet or Custom Search Portlet to find current location.
[COLOR=Black]I've created a transaction search (Item search will not find current location) that sorts by tran ID so the last trans number for a serial number is where the item is currently (after transfers, adjustments, etc.).
