Any Lot Number Gotcha's?

We're considering turning on lot numbering and I want to make sure there aren't any gotcha's before we 'flip the switch.' I've searched through the online help, 2007 release notes/sneak peeks/etc., and this user group and here's what I found:

[*]Kits can't contain lot numbered items (enhancement 61457 https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=4663).
[*]With 2007 you can no longer paste in lot numbers, so it's not clear to me whether a barcode scanner will scan lot numbers into NetSuite (https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=7251)
[*]Per page 60 of the Inventory Management Guide (https://system.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/PDF/InventoryGuide.pdf
