Can We Use Sub-Locations for Inventory On-Hold?

Can We Use Sub-Locations for Inventory On-Hold?

From time-to-time certain perishable items (like produce) need to be put "On-Hold" until it can be tested and proved that it is suitable for consumption and/or sale.

As far as I can tell, NetSuite does not have any facility to designate a specific quantity of an Item as being in an "On-Hold" status in a way that will reduce the Qty Available by the On-Hold Qty. Is this correct??

Assuming it is correct, we have come up with a concept of creating a sub-location to track Items that are in an On-Hold status. Basically, we plan to do an Inventory Transfer from the main Location to the "On-Hold" Location, which is a sub-location of the main Location. When the Item comes off hold, we will do an IT to move it back to the main location.

Howdy, Stranger!
