Show Item Number Fields on Serial Picker

We have properties of our Serial Numbered inventory stored as Item Number fields that need to be consulted to pick the right Serial for the right order.

It doesn't appear the default serial number picker will display any item number fields?

Does anyone have a suggested workarounds?
