Need saved search for inventory items returning accounting information
Does anyone have a good way to do a saved search on inventory items, returning the inventory item and the associated account numbers (not just the description) from the Accounting subtab of the inventory record? Like the COGS Account, Asset Account, Income account, etc? I'm trying to verify that the correct GL codes are on each item record.
I've only been able to get the description, which doesn't help when you are trying to validate that the account numbers are correct, and descriptions are the same for the various types of accounts, so you can't do a lookup that way either. As an example, on the COGS account, my saved search gives me "Visual Equip". In our chart of accounts, if I do a lookup for "Visual Equip", there is a COGS account, but there is also an Inventory account with that name. Thanks.
