Serial Numbers management

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to use Serial Numbers in NetSuite.
Someone has already experienced working/implementing this topic in NetSuite ? 

I'd love to understand some issues, such:

1. How can I see the serialized components within a serialized assembly? (i.e. serial BOM)

2. How can I switch serialized components for serialized assembly? For example, I collected a damaged serialized product and I need to replace its components, which some of are serialized.

3. Is there a way to auto-generate S/N for assemblies according to existing S/N in the system? It seems that the user who report assembly has to keep searching what is the existing S/N in the system and look for the last number...
