Strategy for UoM (Units of Measure)
In setting up our inventory items, I'm importing products that we purchase from Uline. Many of our items come in carton quantities, but we use them by the single piece, like poly bags. Some have different carton sizes.
I've tried multiple ways of setting this up and not sure which method is ideal.
Example 1:
I made a single UoM for Carton with quantity of 1000. It had two entries "Each" and "Carton", with 1000 base units.
I then had to make a UoM for things that are sold individually, I just called it "Each".
When I attempted to import items, the dropdown box listed "Each, Each, Carton" and it was impossible to tell which "Each" was related to the standalone item.
