price level markup only available to tenth decimal position?

edited Nov 26, 2019 8:36AM in Accounting / ERP

Margins are thin in distribution, so the difference between 7% and 7.5% margin (for instance) is a big deal. However, it seems like the most granular we are able to get with our markup (based on purchase price) is .1. This means that there is a full point of margin between each price level. Has anyone else found a simple way to get more granular with price levels using native functionality?

Wanted: a way to use native markup functionality to give sales reps a clear picture of their expected margin:

In the case of an item that the sales rep wants to make a 7.5% margin on, we would want to set the markup on purchase price at 8.11%

Howdy, Stranger!
