NetSuite & Shopify connector - Item and Inventory export data flows (NS ---> Shopify) explain
As we implement the Shopify-NetSuite connector for our clients we often get questions on how items are linked together between the two systems, what item data gets updated, and whether it is possible to update quantity (qty) from specific inventory locations (and not really a sum of all locations available in NS). I thought I'd address this here in this post.
Over the last year or so, I've done many implementations of the connector. Many store owners determine that they need an option to create products in Shopify via exporting items (products) from NetSuite. This data flow is available in the connector - it is called item export (NetSuite ---> Shopify). Wether it is an inventory (including matrix) or a non-inventory item type or e.g. kit item type in NS the connector creates such an item in Shopify. One of the questions that gets asked often is on how to export Matrix Items from NS to Shopify. Well, it is done
