NetSuite & Shopify connector - Sales Order Import data flow (Shopify ---> NS) explained
As we implement the Shopify-NetSuite connector for our clients we often get questions on how sales orders and customers get imported into NS from Shopify. Specifically, our clients want to know what the triggers are. I thought I'd address this.
One of the questions that gets asked often is the trigger for the sales order import flow (Shopify ---> NetSuite). Before implementation, store owners need to make a decision whether they want to 1) authorize and capture funds from their customer's credit card right away at the time of sale OR 2) simply authorize a credit card first and then capture funds after the product is shipped. Keep in mind that both authorization and capture processes happen in Shopify and not outside of it. The answer to this question is that the connector can be configured to import sales orders
