Capture New Record Info
What is the best way to capture new internalId and externalId when a record is added in a custom form? It's easy enough to capture them when a record is updated (below code works) but when a *new* record is added you don't get the new record's internalId in the Save Record Function - it hasn't been assigned yet.
Any advice would be appreciated.
-------------------------
// works on updates but not on new records added
function saveCase () {
var url = "https://mywebsite.com";
var postdata = new Array();
postdata['internalId'] = nlapiGetRecordId(); // blank on new records
postdata['title'] = nlapiGetFieldValue('title');
postdata['createdDate'] = nlapiGetFieldValue('createdDate');
