Nested Lists

I have created some nested lists using the methods described in this article: http://celigo.com/creating-a-nested-list-ie-main-list-and-filtered-sub-list-in-netsuite/  (2 different sets of lists using both of the methods described.  Now I am trying to use the latest WSDL to retrieve the values for these lists, but I cannot figure out to get the nested list values based on the selected main list value.  Been trying to use GetSelectFilterByFieldValue, GetSelectValueFieldDescription and getSelectValue(). Does anyone know how to do this?  Thanks.
