Scheduled Workflow to populate a field

What I am trying to do and background:
- Our payroll is processed using a third party bundle installed on to our account. This bundle is used to process the payroll for one of our subsidiaries (one particular country, known as 'A') and not the other. The other subsidiary's payroll is processed outside of Netsuite.
- The non Netsuite payroll subsidiary ('B') has employee record data still maintained in our Netsuite account. This is mainly basic information such as the employee start date, address, and salary. There is a leave balance field which is currently not used.
We are looking to start storing their leave balances in their employee record, even though payroll payments will still continue to be processed outside of Netsuite for them.
