I have a JE approval workflow, need some pointer

I have a JE approval workflow which sets approvers based on the accounting approval custom field defined in JE creator's employee record. Which is working fine except for the system generated JE from FAM module, since all the JE generated by FAM are created by "system" workflow cannot define an approver because system doesn't have any approver. Is it possible to have an exception that if creator is "System" then approver is predefined to a user or role? Any pointer is appreciated
