Automatically Link Associated Custom Records to Parent Record's Project
in Ask A Guru
When a Project is added to an Opportunity, how do I get any custom records associated to the Opportunity to also tie to the same Project?
Scenario:
User 1 creates a new Opportunity record
Upon saving the Opportunity, scripts run that automatically create associated Custom Records.
Example: The sale is for 4 Circuits. Click save, and the line item selection of 4 Circuits generates the actual individual circuit records, which in our case are Custom Records.
User 2 audits the new Opportunity to make a determination re: if a Project is needed, and if yes, creates the new Project record via the 'Add New' button on the Project (Job) field.
