Saved Search - Custom Formula - Joined Records; I.E. Project & Transactions

We have a saved search that I have been asked to add the Billing Budget from the Project onto.

1. Saved Search = Transaction SS

2. Criteria = Project Budget:Type = Billing

3. Results = Project Budget: Amount - Sum

The SS is showing the Billing Budget by line item, even though I have a SUM associated with it under results

Perhaps I have to remove the Billing Budget Criteria and add a formula to the Results where case when Project Budget Type = Billing sum Project Budget Amount

I couldn't get the formula to work and there is no guarantee that will fix the issue.  I understand that project = Entity record and I am pulling a transaction SS but requesting fields from an entity record.  I can get the data...  just can't get the total versus the line items.
