Custom Segments - Issues Filtering by segments in Saved Search/Report results
Recently enabled Custom Segments feature in order to categorize more effectively than using standard Lists/custom fields, also assumed that doe to its "nested" structure we could utilize more effectively in saved searches/reporting. Not working as expected and not sure if its an issue with setup or just a limitation with custom segments.
Case: Created custom segment field on Customer records "Customer Region" utilizing a standard hierarchical structure (Global Region : Country : Region : Sub-region). Ex. the Midwest is broken into two subregions:
N America : USA : Midwest : West North Central
N America : USA : Midwest : East North Central
Created a customer saved search returning all customers and their respective "Customer Region" & added "Customer Region" to Filters. When trying to Filter by region, it only shows results when set to -All- or the exact region assigned (i.e. N America : USA : Midwest : West North Central). Attempting to filter to N America : USA : Midwest returns no results. I would expect it to return all customers assigned to both West North Central and East North Central.
