If you have a work calendar setup how do you pay hourly employees for a holiday?

If you have a work calendar setup to identify holidays, and you are using Time-Off Management from Suitepeople.  How do you pay hourly employees for a holiday?  The salaried employees just get their normal salary and no time entry is needed.  It seems hourly employees either need a time entry of 8 OR a manual entry on their payroll.
