Why Partial payments can not be deposited into a bank account through "Make deposits" option.

Partial payments can not be deposited through "Make deposits" option. The payment amounts are disabled and we can not change the amount field value. So, if we have to deposit only USD 1000 into a bank account from a payment amount of USD 10000, there is no option on "Make Deposit screen"(Undeposited funds)
