Limiting Items in Purchase Requests

Hello,

We have several items within our system, they are used for our work orders related to our projects.

Regarding Purchase Orders, we would like to limit the list of items from which a user can choose from and hide the items that are not relevant. Is it possible to add a filter on the purchase order item list, such that if the user looks for the item in that field, they can only select from the ones we determine are available?

For example, the system has 300 items, we only want to display/enable 15 selected items when a user creates a purchase order, disabling selecting any of the other 285.
