Release 2020.1: Subsidiary Hierarchy Modification: Self-Service

Subsidiary Hieararchy Modification Feature is a feature in NetSuite that allows users to restructure the hierarchy of the Subsidiaries in their Account. This is done by making the Subsubsidiary Of field editable in the Subsidiary record.

Prior to 2020.1, enabling the feature requires a Support Case to be filed by the Customers. NetSuite support team checks for the validity of the request and its prerequisites before filing an Issue. NetSuite Engineering team then reviews the Issue and enables the feature for the requested environment.

For the 2020.1 NetSuite version:

  • Users with appropriate permission can enable the Subsidiary Hierarchy Modification Feature on General Preferences
