SuiteScript 2.0: How to make a specific record/transaction accessible only to certain employees
Objective
Make a specific record/transaction accessible only to certain employees.
Where can I use this?
If you have a confidential record/transaction that you want to be available only on certain employees, you may consider the solution in this article.
How?
- Deploy a user event script with beforeLoad function to the desired record/transaction. The script will have the ff. flow:
- Check if the user is not trying to create a new record/transaction. If the user is trying to create a new record/transaction, do nothing (allow him to proceed with the record/transaction creation). Otherwise, proceed with step 2.
