This article would run a simple overview as to how Work In Process works in a Manufacturing setup.

Work In Process feature enables users to track the movement of the production of Assemblies from the gathering of materials up to the finishing of the goods.

Unlike in the conventional Work Order wherein it only involves the creation of the Assembly Build, Work In Process would track step by step process of the manufacturing through the following transactions: Issue Work Order, Complete Work Order and Close Work Order.
