Is there an option to do "Substitute Item Receipts"

We have a requirement where the PO is placed for an item with revision 1 and by the time the PO is received there are minor modifications and the item revision changes to 2 and we need an option to receive item with revision 2 without going through the pain of modifying and re-approving the POs. Is there an option to achieve this in NS.
