Avalara AvaTax for NetSuite. Wrong tax until the order is opened in the NS back office.
The tax calculation in our cart is NOT using the tax rate directly to the customer’s address when a customer orders through our WebStore.
We’re in central Illinois and our tax rate is closer to 8%. It is 10% in Chicago.
If a person orders from Chicago, it is using our 8% rate in the webstore. Then, when we go to bill the order in the netSuite back-office, it changes the tax to 10% because it then decides to recognize their Chicago address. We have no way to fix the tax issue on these sales orders in the NS back-end as the tax is what it shows with no editing.
