Components' Operation field is blank on newly created work orders?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know what would prevent the work order components' Operation field from populating with the operation number as set up on the associated routing?

I am just begging to set up WIP and believe I have not missed any set up steps. I can manually set the field after a work order is created and then backflush works when a completion is entered.
