Work Calendar Limitations

We are currently implementing SuitePeople, and have run into an issue with the work calendars. First some background:

  • Employees normally work Monday-Friday
  • Occasionally employees will be required to work over the weekend.
  • We schedule our project in NetSuite using project tasks, and project task assignments

The issue we ran into a few years ago was that if an employee's work calendar was set to M-F, and they were to be assigned to a project task that was scheduled on the weekend, the assignment would fail with the following message:

At least one employee assigned to the task Weekend Work has no working hours between the start date 8/14/2021 and end date 8/15/2021.
