NSC | Difference Between Credit Memo Created From Return Authorization and Invoice

You can create a Credit Memo from a Return Authorization or directly from an Invoice. Here's the difference between the two and see what aligns to your business process more.

Credit Memos created via Return Authorization does not affect Inventory as Inventory is impacted on the Item Receipt of the Return Authorization. On the other hand, a direct Credit Memo will affect the Inventory if a value is set on the quantity field.
