AE: Add sales country to budgets

Good afternoon all,

We want to add the "Country of Sale" to the budgets. What I already found out is that we can add a field to the budgets with a custom segment which has GL Impact. If we do this and create a report actual vs budget. We have to add two field, the custom segment: Country of Sale and the Country which is in the Transaction.

So, I was thinking to add the custom segment (Country of Sale) to the "sales" transactions and let it fill in automatically. But how can I do this? with a workflow or is a SuiteScript better? We register our sales in a different system, and they are loaded in NetSuite with a REST API.
