Lead Management

I am new to Netsuite and trying to manage this system with not a lot of help. a few things I need help with because the terminology is completely throwing me off as certain terms are being used in different ways...like lead and opportunity...in the sales world these are the exact same things because a lead is an opportunity to sell something so....

1) Seeing the LEADS and being able to get them setup to a Round Robin System so when they come in as unqualified they get distributed to my sales team properly so there an even split. With ones that are already in the que, do we still need to manually change the Sales Rep in the lead?
