NSC | ARM: How does Direct Revenue Posting works?
Scenario:
User is using Advanced Revenue Management module in their NetSuite Account, however, they want to set up an item that will post directly to their Income Account, instead of deferred revenue.
Solution:
User may opt to use the Direct Revenue Posting checkbox to directly post to the revenue account
1.) Go to Item Record
2.) Navigate to Revenue Recognition / Amortization
3.) Check Direct Revenue Posting
4.) In the Accounting tab, make sure to add an Income Account, also users will notice that the Deferred Revenue Account is disabled after checking the Direct Revenue Posting
5.) Save the item record
Result:
When creating an Invoice, the G/L impact will credit the Income Account
